Susan Lowerre, Laptop Merchandising Manager
Why she’s a Star Merchandiser: Susan maintains the most popular part of our portfolio: laptops. On a day to day basis, she is constantly going back and forth from overall strategy to being in the weeds of template files. She works late nights to ensure the site is the best it can be for the customer and doesn’t hesitate to try and make things better than just the norm. Though she may claim she’s behind, she’s really far in front of the pack – two steps ahead of our competitors in how to best position our products to make them shine. Her dedication to making sure that customer has the best experience on the web has proven that she’s a wonderful asset to our team. Her creative thinking, comprehensive planning, and ability to be a champion for the customer has helped Lenovo.com thrive. She has gone above and beyond to ensure the business will continue to grow. Moreover, she is just an all-around wonderful person that helps the team stay positive with her great personality.
Years as a merchandiser: 6
Proudest merchandising accomplishment: Three years ago I suggested we spice up our Back to School campaign by using fun quizzes to suggest products and tying the products back to fun personalities like “Chill Chad” or “Academic Amy”. The campaign did great that year and we have been improving upon it every year since. It’s been fun to see what it has evolved in to.
What she loves most about her job: I love the blend of creativity and analytical analysis that merchandising requires. I love looking at metrics and finding patterns in the data but I also love coming up with creative campaigns, copy, and imagery to help get people excited about purchasing our products. I love that I get to use both sides of my brain every day!
Fun fact: In my late 20s I had a semi-successful blog about my 30 before 30 bucket list
